A few things you might want to know.

Only if you want to. Everything works in your browser on desktop, and on your phone's browser for listening, notes, and keeping up with the project. A whole record can run that way, start to finish.

Two free apps handle the parts a browser is worst at. StudioTrackr Bounce for Mac sends a mix up straight out of your DAW, and the iOS app plays the record the way you actually check a mix. Both are included on every plan, Free included, and neither is required.

StudioTrackr Bounce keeps a StudioTrackr folder on your Mac with a folder for every project and every song. Bounce out of your DAW into a song's folder and it goes up as that song's next version. The folder is what decides which song, so filenames don't have to mean anything, and bouncing the same filename again gives you a new version rather than overwriting the take before it.

It only ever uploads. It never deletes, moves, or edits a file you put in the folder, and if the wifi drops or you shut the lid mid-upload it keeps trying until the bounce is safely up. Windows is planned.

Yes, an iOS app built for the car test — CarPlay included. It plays the current mix of every song in the record in album order, with background playback and lock-screen controls, and Radio Mode levels the playback so comparing Mix 7 to Mix 8 is about the music rather than which bounce was louder.

One tap captures a note at the second you heard something, and the song's whole punch list comes with you. Android is planned.

Yes — StudioTrackr is a CarPlay app. Your projects and songs are on the car's screen, playback is the current mix of each, and Radio Mode is one button on the Now Playing screen.

The note button is the point: press it, StudioTrackr asks "What's your note?", you say it, and the transcribed note lands on the song's punch list at the exact second — captured on your phone first, so it survives a dead spot and syncs when the road allows. Notes are capture-only in the car, on purpose: reading the punch list waits until you're parked.

Alongside every bounce we render a second version to listen to: level-matched, so comparing Mix 7 to Mix 8 is about the music rather than which one went out louder, and lightly polished — a little shape and glue, the way a mix gets treated on its way to a master — so a rough sits closer to how it will finally sound. One tap in the player switches between Radio and Flat without stopping the song.

It isn't mastering and isn't meant to replace it: a real master does far more, and does it for that one song. Radio Mode deliberately treats every bounce the same, which is what makes two versions comparable. Flat is always exactly what left your DAW, your original file is never altered, and you can switch Radio Mode off entirely in Settings. It's on every plan, free ones included.

Enter your email address and your password. If you forget it, “Forgot password?” emails you a six-digit code and lets you choose a new one on the spot — and that is also how to set your first password if you joined back when we signed you in with an emailed code. You can also sign in with Google or Apple; from Google we receive only your name, email address, and profile picture, and we never ask for access to Gmail, Drive, or anything else in your Google account.

WAV, AIFF, FLAC, MP3, M4A, AAC and OGG. Uncompressed bounces (WAV, AIFF and FLAC) are converted to 256 kbps AAC so they play instantly in the browser and on your phone; compressed files play as they are. On Pro your original files are kept alongside the playback copy and can be downloaded any time. On Free we keep the playback copy, not the original WAV or AIFF, so keep your masters on your own drive and upgrade to Pro if you want StudioTrackr to store them too.

Yes. Your projects are private to you and the people you invite. There's no public feed or discovery, and your audio isn't used to train AI. The privacy policy has the full detail, including exactly which companies process your data and why.

Yes. People you invite can listen and leave feedback without paying for their own Pro plan. They open the invite, sign in with their email and a password or with Google or Apple, and they're in the project. Only the person who owns the project pays.

You choose per person. An Editor can change songs, steps, recordings, and notes. A Listener can play mixes and leave comments only. You can remove anyone at any time, which revokes their access immediately.

You keep Pro through the date you've already paid for. After that, nothing is deleted — not then, not later, and there's no deadline to beat. Your projects freeze: still there, still yours, visible and read-only, and their audio doesn't play until you're back on Pro.

Free runs one project with up to 3 songs. Start a fresh one, or resume a frozen project that already fits. Upgrading unfreezes everything at once.

No. Everyone you've already invited keeps listener access, even past the Free limit of 2 — we don't cut off your bandmates because your plan changed. Editing is a Pro feature, so editors become listeners until you upgrade, and inviting anyone new needs room under the Free limit.
